As a photographer there are so many reasons to enjoy

Why Weddings?

shooting weddings. There are all of the elegant and carefully selected details, which are reflections of a couple's own unique style. There are the beautiful and vibrant colors of flowers, shoes, and bridesmaids dresses. There are the lovely posed images taken in front of breathtaking views. There's that shot of the couple on the ornate steps of a lavish venue. And of course we can't forget the laughter of the groomsmen, and all of that partying-down, especially Uncle Bob going crazy on the dance floor. But my very favorite moments are are the unplanned, spontaneous, genuine ones that make each wedding, each couple so special.

Don't get me wrong. I realize that every bride wants her wedding images to look like they came out of a magazine. And as far as I'm concerned, delivering on this is one of the most fun aspects of wedding photography. But imagine if you were to take away those details, take away the venue, take away the dress and the flowers. The part that is left, the connection, is what a wedding is really about. Capturing that connection . . . this is what I love most about photographing weddings.
